Christmas is here and high school hockey action is in full swing! There is a lot of movement this week, so let’s get right into it.

1: BC High (1) – The Eagles are separating themselves from the pack already as there is a lot of movement below them. They defeated Don Bosco Prep from New Jersey as the Eagles rallied for a huge second period on their way to a 4-3 victory.

2: Hingham (3) – Only two games into the season, the Harbormen have two wins against two good teams. Their most recent win being a 9-1 thumping over St. Johns Prep.

3: Xaverian (4) – Xaverian has one of the most talented rosters in the state. Their most recent victory was a 2-0 shutout victory over Duxbury. They enter the My Hockey Live Cup with high expectations.

4: Framingham (8) – Framingham has had an extremely impressive start to the season as they have already racked up four regular season wins. Their most impressive victory was their 3-2 win over Pope Francis.

5: Canton (5) – Canton’s unbeaten streak lives on after a scare from Shrewsbury. Their most recent victory came against a very good Masconoment team. They have their eyes set on their December 30th matchup against Duxbury.

6: St. Mary’s Lynn (6) – The Spartans have two solid wins in their first two games, and just recently tied St. John’s (S) in a big matchup. Their next game will be against Austin Prep.

7: Pope Francis (2) – The Cardinals have had a strange start to the season. They had a tough start in the prestigious Rider Cup, as they only managed one victory. They are now 2-1 in the MIAA since and are looking to gain some momentum.

8: Arlington (10) – Arlington has an extremely talented roster, but suffered their first loss of the season this past week against Pope Francis. They face Reading next, in what should be a great matchup.

9: Duxbury (9) – Duxbury’s only loss this year came in their most recent game against Xaverian. They enter the Island Creek Oyster Cup with a first-round matchup against Bridgewater-Raynham.

10: Bishop Fenwick (14) – Fenwick has made a steady climb in the rankings since the season started. They have three wins in three games and are now set to begin the Catholic Memorial Christmas Tournament.

11: Marshfield (15) – Marshfield has yet to lose this year as they are coming off of a win over Scituate. They face off against Framingham in the My Hockey Live Cup, which will be a test for both teams.

12: Braintree (12) – Braintree shocked the state with their win over Pope Francis in the Garrett Reagan and they have been playing good ever since. They had a big win last night over Billerica and play Lincoln-Sudbury next.

13: Archbishop Williams (11) – Archies only loss on the year came against a very good Bishop Fenwick team. They have two wins in their first three games and have Arlington Catholic next on their schedule.

14: Central Catholic (19) – Central Catholic is up five more spots this week as they are bouncing back well from a tough season last year. They are 3-0-1 and have Pope Francis up next on their schedule.

15: Austin Prep (13) – In their first three games, Austin Prep is 1-1-1. They look to get things rolling against St. Mary’s Lynn on December 27th.

16: Burlington (NR) – After starting the season with a loss, Burlington has beaten Reading and Winchester back to back. They play Billerica next on December 28th.

17: Reading (18) – Reading has already played four games, and have managed to win three of them. They play Arlington next on New Year’s Eve, in what should be a good game.

18: St. Johns Prep (7) – The Eagles lost by 8 goals in their regular season opener to Hingham, but managed to bounce back and earn a victory over Danvers in their next contest. Their schedule does not get easy, as they enter the Pete Frates Winter Classic against BC High.

19: Falmouth (NR) – Falmouth is off to a very hot start, earning victories in each of their first four games. Their most impressive win is their 5-4 victory over a good Weymouth team. They play Newton South next.

20: St. John’s Shrewsbury (NR) – St Johns (S) is 2-2-1 in their first five, but have played well against tough opponents. They lost to BC High 3-1 and are coming off of a big tied against St. Mary’s Lynn.
