10th Annual Garrett Reagan Summit Pairings

Marlboro, Mass.--Match-ups for the 10th Annual Garrett Reagan Summit are now set in stone, where there'll be 68 teams participating in the preseason jamboree on Sunday, Dec. 3.

With the New England Sports Center in Marlboro now containing eight rinks, games have been spread out to avoid jamming six scrimmages on to one rink and expecting them all to start on time.

All games on Rink 1 will be broadcast on MyHockeyLive.com, free of charge. The schedule for the day is as follows:

Rink 1
11 a.m.: Marlboro vs. Bellingham
Noon: Hingham vs. Xaverian
1 p.m.: Arlington vs. St. Mary's Lynn
2 p.m.: Hudson vs. Ashland
3 p.m.: Westford Academy vs. Natick

Analysis: Arlington vs. St. Mary's Lynn is a battle of last year's Super Eight and Division 1 State Champions, respectively. The Hingham-Xaverian match-up isn't too shabby either, each team a perennial Super Eight contender. The Harbormen and Hawks also squared off in last year's GR Summit. Hudson plays its home games at the NESC, while Marlboro actually plays at a different rink in town: Navin Arena.

Rink 2
Noon: Andover vs. Barnstable
1 p.m.: Assabet Valley vs. Dover-Sherborn
2 p.m.: Attleboro vs. Holliston
3 p.m.: Auburn vs. Concord-Carlisle

Analysis: Andover had a great sun a season ago behind goaltender Zach Laramie, coming up just short in a loss to eventual-champion St. Mary's in the Division 1 North final. Assabet Valley plays its home games at the NESC.

Rink 3
11:20 a.m.: Peabody vs. Whitman-Hanson
12:20 p.m.: Malden Catholic vs. Pope Francis
1:20 p.m.: Belmont vs. Bridgewater-Raynham
2:20 p.m.: Billerica vs. Brockton

Analysis: Malden Catholic needs no introduction, even after failing to play in the Super Eight title game for the first time since 2010 a season ago. Pope Francis (nee Springfield Cathedral) is always a fun team to watch out west.

Rink 4
11:20 a.m.: Newton South vs. Cohasset
12:20 p.m.: Stoughton vs. Silver Lake
1:20 p.m.: Bishop Stang vs. North Quincy
2:20 p.m.: Blue Hills vs. Latin Academy
3:20 p.m.: Lowell Catholic vs. Scituate

Analysis: We've got ourselves a rematch of last year's Division 2 State Championship game between the Crusaders and Sailors at 3:20 p.m., where Lowell Catholic edged Scituate, 5-4, to claim its first state title.

Rink 5
11:40 a.m.: Nashoba Regional vs. Nashoba Tech
12:40 p.m.: North Andover vs. Cambridge
1:40 p.m.: Newton North vs. Wakefield
2:40 p.m.: Coyle & Cassidy vs. Lynnfield

Analysis: The all-Nashoba battle is between schools in two different towns; Nashoba Regional is located in Bolton, while Nashoba Tech is located in Westford. Nashoba Regional won back-to-back state titles in 2015 and 2016.

Rink 6
11:40 a.m.: Waltham vs. Arlington Catholic (girls)
12:40 p.m.: Cambridge vs. St. Peter Marian (girls)
1:40 p.m.: Matignon vs. Wilmington (girls)
2:40 p.m.: Norton vs. Hamilton-Wenham

Analysis: The only three girls match-ups of the day are taking place on Rink 6, which is an increase from last year's total of only one girls game. St. Peter Marian is fielding a girls varsity hockey team for the first time.

Rink 7
1 p.m.: Marshfield vs. Milton
2 p.m.: Framingham vs. Burlington
3 p.m.: Arlington Catholic vs. Braintree
4 p.m.: St. John Paul II vs. Northbridge

Analysis: Framingham is coming off a trip to the Division 1 State Championship game, Marshfield is coming off its first Super Eight appearance...Burlington, Braintree and Arlington Catholic are all perennial postseason teams in their respective sections. Very strong slate here.

Rink 8
11:30 a.m.: Waltham vs. Duxbury
12:30 p.m.: Reading vs. St. John's Shrewsbury
1:30 p.m.: Hanover vs. Lowell
2:30 p.m.: Worcester vs. St. Peter Marian

Analysis: Hanover (2016) and Reading (2014) each have state championships in the not-too-distant past. Worcester vs. St. Peter Marian is a battle for the second-largest city in New England.
