FOXBORO — Junior wing Bobby Trudeau twice put the Lancers ahead, but twice the Foxboro High Warriors came back to knot the score in the non-league game.

Tim Luciano evened the score at 2-2 at 2:19 of the third period for the Warriors after Peter Smith had tied the score at 1-1 at 8:33 of the second period.

Trudeau put the Lancers (4-3-2) ahead, breaking a scoreless first period duel, at 4:37 of the second period and then regained the lead for Norton with a power-play goal just 44 seconds into the third period with Troy Parker assisting.

Foxboro carried the play to Norton in the first period, “we were holding on,” said Norton coach Kyle Heagney.

“We pushed the play in the second period, we brought the play to them. Then in the third period, it was up and down the ice the entire period.”

Cassandra Goyette totaled 16 saves in goal for Norton.

“The key was that we responded,” said Heagney.
